The Son is the gleaming brightness of God’s glory. He is the exact likeness of God’s being. He uses his powerful word to hold all things together. He provided the way for people to be made pure from sin. Then he sat down at the right hand of the King, the Majesty in heaven. (Hebrews 1:3)

This gift beyond description,
A Savior born for you and me.
Matchless love without compare,
Displaying endless mercy.

He came to live among us,
To fulfill the greatest plan.
Stripped of all His privilege,
He stepped down to live as man.

He demonstrates His love for us,
Through humble birth and death.
A greater love has not been shown,
Then at His final breath.

To save us undeserving ones,
And show goodwill toward men,
He rose again and intercedes,
We know he’ll come again.

By faith in Jesus Christ alone,
Our debt in full is paid.
Resulting in a peace with God,
That will not spoil or fade.

Grace from heaven, Immanuel,
With all the angels sing!
In our heart of hearts He dwells,
High Priest and Coming King!

Philippians 2:5-8 Let this same attitude and purpose and [humble] mind be in you which was in Christ Jesus: [Let Him be your example in humility:] Who, although being essentially one with God and in the form of God possessing the fullness of the attributes which make God God], did not think this equality with God was a thing to be eagerly grasped But stripped Himself [of all privileges and rightful dignity], so as to assume the guise of a servant (slave), in that He became like men and was born a human being. And after He had appeared in human form, He abased and humbled Himself [still further] and carried His obedience to the extreme of death, even the death of the cross!

Luke 1: 77 To bring and give the knowledge of salvation to His people in the forgiveness and remission of their sins. Because of and through the heart of tender mercy and loving-kindness of our God, a Light from on high will dawn upon us and visit [us]. To shine upon and give light to those who sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to direct and guide our feet in a straight line into the way of peace.

For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. John 3:16-17

God’s power is great for those who believe.
His gift of grace is for all to receive!

Our Lord’s salvation sets us on high,
When we pray from the heart, He hears our cry.

He guides our feet to the path of peace.
His compassion for us will never cease.

If we rely on Him to show us His ways,
His goodness and love will follow our days.

Upon the cross He made a final decree.
Enthroned in blood, Christ set us free!

The Lion of Judah won’t leave our side.
In Him alone, we lovingly abide.

Dwell in Him and flee from sin.
Love one another by the Spirit within.

John 1:12 Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.

John 6:40 For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:69 And we have learned to believe and trust, and [more] we have come to know [surely] that You are the Holy One of God, the Christ (the Anointed One), the Son of the living God. (Amplied Version)

Living God

How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? (Hebrews 9:14)

Past, present and future the True God lives!
He shows us His love by the life He gives.
For the sins of the world, His blood was shed.
Treasure His Word as your daily bread.

Put your trust in the God who became man.
He loved you long before your life began.
The Lord deserves our blind adoration,
He is the sovereign God of all nations!

Truth written by the Spirit on our hearts,
To quicken and comfort, to set apart.
Jesus defeated death and rose again.
He dwells within us and frees us from sin.

In believing, you have life in His name!
Innocent and pure He took all our blame.
He will cover you with grace here and now,
To the Living God every knee will bow.

Drink from His life-giving well evermore!
An oasis of love He has in store.
We are called to walk by faith not by sight,
Allow Christ to be your beacon of light.

Romans 5:8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Galatians 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

2 Corinthians 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.

John 8:12 Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life

No servant is able to serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will stand by and be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon (riches, or anything in which you trust and on which you rely).  Luke 16:13

Why serve an impersonal god unknown?
Or be a slave to an ignorant stone?
A living God human hands cannot make!
Will the stone arise or the wood awake?

Are you a servant of the Living God?
Or do you glorify a gold facade?
Serve a graven image of man’s device?
O, child of God, you were bought for a price!

The earthly, carnal pleasures of today,
Will always deceive and lead you astray.
“Thou shalt have no other gods before me”.
All that you love more is idolatry.

Jesus was not just teacher and prophet,
He is the God of Heaven incarnate!
Without faith in Christ, we are devil’s pawns!
Trust in Him until the new day dawns.

The Light of the World will never grow dim.
All dominions will serve and obey Him.
At this very moment He intercedes,
On your behalf before God, Jesus pleads.

2 Peter 1:9 And we have something more sure, the prophetic word, to which you will do well to pay attention as to a lamp shining in a dark place, until the day dawns and the morning star rises in your hearts.

Paradise Garden

But whoever drinks of the water that I will give him shall never thirst; but the water that I will give him will become in him a well of water springing up to eternal life. John 4:14

New every morning, my heart is fulfilled.
It’s only in faith Your true love is revealed.

Firm and secure, You anchor my soul,
Once I acknowledge Your sovereign control.

I wish to drink Your life-giving water!
Learning to be Your faithful daughter.

My life plan You have set into motion,
Undeserving of Your endless devotion.

You promise me You’ll never leave,
Steadfast and loyal to all who believe.

Gladly, I rejoice and give You glory!
For Yours is the ultimate love story!

Longing to delight in the land of Eden,
Your blood covers my inherited sin.

By grace, my imperfections You pardon,
And open the gate to paradise garden!

Lamentations 3:22-23 It is of the LORD’s mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are new every morning: great is thy faithfulness.

Hebrews 6:19 We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain.

Hebrews 13:5b For He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My hold on you)! [Assuredly not!] (Amplified Version)

Isaiah 51:3 For the LORD shall comfort Zion: he will comfort all her waste places; and he will make her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of the LORD; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.

The Promise

Because God’s children are human beings—made of flesh and blood—the Son also became flesh and blood. For only as a human being could he die, and only by dying could he break the power of the devil, who had the power of death. Only in this way could he set free all who have lived their lives as slaves to the fear of dying.  Hebrews 2:14-15 (NLT)

Of all God’s promises, this one was first
Yet generations continue to thirst

That old serpent was deceptively wise
And taunted Eve with his masterful lies

Sin entered the world, its wages are death
But Christ prevailed when He took his last breath

Trampled underfoot, the serpent is bruised
The evil one stands forever accused

Our forefathers saw Christ afar and believed
The Blessed Hope they embraced and received

By Abraham’s faith he was justified
He stepped out knowing the Lord would provide

Moses left treasures for the King’s reward
David’s heart sang of a merciful Lord

Our Redeemer lives, as even Job knew
The First and the Last and all that is True

Born of a virgin and under the law
Christ vindicates sinners once and for all

By His defense alone we must plead
The Son of God is the promised seed

Genesis 3:15 I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.

Acts 3:25 Ye are the children of the prophets, and of the covenant which God made with our fathers, saying unto Abraham, And in thy seed shall all the kindreds of the earth be blessed.

Galatians 3:16 Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

Galatians 4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law

Colossian 2:15 [And] having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it.

Thy Word

And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth. (John 1:14)

The Word of the Lord is precious and rare
It is quick and sharp and perfectly fair

From age of old yet eternally new
The Word of the Lord is tested and true

Defense for the soul by the Spirit’s sword
Heaven was made by the Word of the Lord

Far greater than words of a manmade creed
God’s Word is an incorruptible seed

Oh how sweet are thy words to our taste
Savoring rich morsels without haste

For man shall not live long by bread alone
But by every good Word of God made known

Without it we stumble in dark defeat
The Lord’s Word is a lamp unto our feet

Within Your gospel a new hope is found
The living Word of God cannot be bound

Will it be the stone upon which we fall?
Or the foundation on which we stand tall?

The Lord said, ‘Is not my Word like fire?’
The spark to ignite your heart’s desire

Oh Lord, Your perfect Law of Liberty
The Word made flesh is our one guarantee

2 Samuel 22:31 As for God, his way is perfect; the word of the LORD is tried: he is a buckler to all them that trust in him.

Psalm 33:6 By the word of the Lord the heavens were made and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth

Psalm 119:103 How sweet are thy words unto my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my mouth!

Psalm 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

Jeremiah 23:29 Is not my word like as a fire? saith the LORD; and like a hammer that breaketh the rock in pieces?

Matthew 4:4 But he answered and said, It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.

Ephesians 6:17 And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God:

Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart

1 Peter 1:23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.

James 1:25 But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed.
