Hidden in Christ

Since you have been raised to new life with Christ, set your sights on the realities of heaven, where Christ sits in the place of honor at God’s right hand. Think about the things of heaven, not the things of earth. For you died to this life, and your real life is hidden with Christ in God.  And when Christ, who is your life, is revealed to the whole world, you will share in all his glory. Colossians 3:1-4

Broken, Ignorant, Shameful
Suffering, Tempted, Sinner
This is me.

Holy, Blameless, Pure
Sinless, Spotless, Glorious
This is Christ.

Forgiven, Humbled, Thankful
Covered, Loving, Peaceful
This is Christ in me.

1 John 4:13 God has given us his Spirit. That is how we know that we are one with him, just as he is one with us.

  1. I think this one is my favorite of yours so far. It is so simply stated, but the way you show us in our brokeness, Christ in His fullness and then Christ in us in completeness is brilliant.

  2. Greetings. To always remember that Jesus is our righteousness and our life. may we always be in rememberance of our great salvation. Thanks for another great post.

Have a blessed day in Christ.

  9. In my prayer time this week I have been trying to focus on Jesus, with the goal of having that focus permeate the rest of my day. Not asking, not telling, not “angsting”, but just looking at Jesus. several times during the course of this practice I have come back to this poem to re-focus on Him, Holy, blameless, pure, sinless, spotless, glorious.

Thank you for sharing. It has blessed me.

I didn’t want to blow up your reply board, but I can’t help it! Your writing is beautiful and you can tell it’s from the heart of someone who truly walks with God! Keep on!
